OVERVIEW

Breakout Seminars

90-minute seminars. Four different seminars will take place at the same time. You will select which seminar you want to attend and just go to the designated room for that seminar. Each seminar topic is presented twice to allow for a better chance of getting to the ones you prefer. If you are attending as a couple/team, we recommend splitting up to cover more of the topics. Job Fair

Employers of Workampers will be on-site to give the details of their opportunities - positions, duties, work dates, compensation, expectations, and the hiring process. Some Employers will have current or previous Workampers with them to give you the inside scoop on working for them! Multiple Employers will be hiring during this job fair, so you can leave Rendezvous with your next Workamping job! The Job Fair will be on Friday and all attendees will be able to visit with them. Many of the Employers will participate in a seminar, a Q&A session, and will be around other days during the week as well.

Bonus Sessions

Bonus sessions are being offered by several of the presenters. With much expertise to share, these optional sessions allow presenters to offer in-depth coverage on helpful topics. Bonus sessions may be free or have a fee.

Prizes

Tuesday through Thursday, you can play an interactive game to earn "moolah" to use towards our prize auction on Thursday. Doing certain activities like turning in a testimonial, visiting the social media table, and purchasing from the event store will earn you an opportunity to spin the wheel for the chance to win a prize or more moolah! In past years, we've had fun & useful prizes like Berkey water filters, BBQ grills, heated water hoses, leveling blocks, Instant Pots, Yeti mugs, and much more.

Q&A with Workampers and Employers

We'll all come together and put some experienced Workampers "in the hot seat" to take your questions and share their experiences with the RV & Workamping lifestyle. On Thursday, we'll do the same with Employers - you can ask them questions about what they look for in Workampers and more. We can learn so much from each other!

Meals

Your registration includes three continental-style breakfasts, two lunches, and a BBQ dinner lakeside on Thursday evening. Lunch on Wednesday will be a hot dog bar with chips and drinks - during which, we will raise money for a non-profit helping people in our local community.

RV Home Show

At Dam Site Campground and Heber Springs RV Park, attendees who are staying there can volunteer to open up their home on wheels and let others check out how they're livin'! This gives dreamers who haven't selected an RV yet a chance to learn the pros and cons from those who are living in the types of RVs that dreamer may be interested in. Plus, you can always learn some great tips for how to modify and customize an RV for better usage, organization, or giving it that "home" feel.

Workamper Boot Camp

As a new recruit into the Workamper Boot Camp, you will have your eyes opened to the possibilities of the Workamping lifestyle and what it will mean to your future. You will experience a regimen of who, what, why, and how - along with development of the successful Workamper mindset. We will discuss basic newbie RVer questions like what rig to buy, where to travel, gaining the most enjoyment from the RVing lifestyle, when to get started, and more! Attending the Workamper Boot Camp will hone your tactical decision-making skills and will have a definite impact on your future! Completion of your training will take your Workamping lifestyle to a new level, providing you with a leg-up. You will be given the tools you need to be successful in the world of Workamping and beyond! Seminars presented by Steve Anderson and the WKN Team on Saturday.

Attendee Binder, Shirt, & SWAG!

Each attendee will receive a personalized attendee binder when he/she comes to check-in. In the binder will be the schedule, presenter bios, event info, as well as any materials provided by the presenters for each of their seminars. Many of our sponsors and Employers have provided some fun SWAG items. You'll also be given an attendee nametag and event tshirt! All of these goodies will fit nicely inside your new Workamper tote bag.

The Workamper Show is our bi-weekly podcast featuring interviews with Workampers and Employers, available on most podcast apps. Our producer, Greg, will be setup in the podcasting booth to interview you! Share with others your dreams, experiences, and excitement.

Get Social

Shuttle on over to our social media booth for some out of this world fun! Get your picture taken with photo props and you might even pick up some moolah to help you win a really cool prize! Share your photos online with the hashtag #Rendezvous2020 or email yourself the photos to post later. Who knows, you may see your photo on the big screen in the main seminar room!

The Workamper News Team and event staff will be happy to help you with:

  • event questions and directions
  • signing up for a bonus session
  • upgrading or renewing your WKN membership
  • purchasing helpful RV resources
  • turning in event paperwork, like testimonials or questions for the Q&As

Social Sunday

From 2 - 4 pm on Sunday, any attendees who are currently subscribed to The Dreamer's Journey (DJ) online course & community are invited to a small reception at Steve (creator and host of the program) & his wife, Kathy Jo's, home they have lovingly dubbed the Cliff House. With an expansive outdoor deck, you'll be able to enjoy a view of the Greers Ferry Dam and Little Red River Valley while getting to know your fellow DJ community. Alumni of The Dreamer's Journey are also welcome.

Another social gathering for all attendees is in the works. Details posted soon.
